We first moved in to number 15 Heslington Road and then when it was going to be sold we wanted to stay with Andy as our landlord so we moved into number 51 for our final year!

Over the past two years “Better Student Homes” has been speedy and friendly (i.e we reported our kettle broken and got a new one the same evening)!

We would highly recommend renting from them if you ant an honest, great landlord and a great house to boot!

Nicola and co Heslington Road 2015 to 2017

our landlord for 2 different houses!

All six of us have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1 Brownlow Street. The house itself is in immaculate condition; Andy had it professionally cleaned and redecorated before we moved in. The downstairs is spacious, and the sofas are incredibly comfy-perfect for movie marathons when procrastinating doing Uni work! Andy is an extremely reliable landlord, any issues we have had with the house we’ve contacted Andy and he has responded on the same day with a plan in place to ensure the problem is sorted as soon as possible. Andy is also extremely accommodating; fixing us up with new beds and wardrobes in our times of need. His colleague Paula is always on hand and easy to contact about any questions or issues we may have. The handyman Brian is brilliant, he’s always very friendly and sorted any job we’ve thrown at him! Overall we couldn’t have picked a better house to spend our last year at University in, it’s just a shame we didn’t have it for all 3 years!

Thanks for all your help this year. We’ve all really loved the house!

Katherine9 Lawrence Street 2015 - 2016

Living at 9 Lawrence Street for the last 2 years has been a genuinely great experience due in no small part to the reliable, friendly and fair nature of both Paula and Andy.
Whenever my fellow housemates or I needed anything both Andy and Paula were quick to respond and the service which they provided us helped make 9 Lawrence Street feel like home.
I would definitely recommend Prospect Property to any students wishing to find accommodation in York.

Just want to say a massive thanks to how helpful Andy, Paula and John have been throughout the year! Considering we have had two lads drop out it’s been an enjoyable year in a great student house! Once again thanks for everything this past year we are extremely impressed with the way you have handle everything. 80 Lowther Street, 2013- 2014

Thanks for being an excellent landlord! You were far and away the most informative and efficient we’ve dealt with. It was a fantastic year for all of us and the house was really lovely.

The boys at 51 Heslington Road, 2013-2014

You should advertise your best points- we were really pleased to have a gardening service included in our rent but didn’t know until they arrived!

The girls at Huntington Road

Andy has people working for him who will come around regularly if anything needs fixing, but heand his team only come around when asked and they give plenty of notice if they need to call round. In the last two years he has always made it feel like it is our home. He doesn’t mind us putting our own stamp on our rooms (within reason!). Posters for example were no problem. Overall with Andy and Prospect Property you will have an excellent house and no hassle. It all makes uni life so much easier!

Tom Chisholm15 Heslington Road

I’ve been fortunate to live in a “Prospect Property” house for my final 2 years at York Uni (15 Heslington Road, 2003-2005). The standard of accommodation has been excellent and Andy (the landlord) compares very well with other landlords in the area that my friends have had! He is always helpful and manages to get people around to fix any problems (of which we have had few) very quickly and with minimum disruption. I would recommend Andy to anybody looking for a house in York.
