My time at Hull Road was an enjoyable one and it was made all the better knowing that I had a reliable landlord who would quickly and efficiently solve any problems that occurred during my stay.
We lived at Lawrence street for two years from 2018 to 2020. Andy was always able to help and make things as easy as possible for us. Whenever anything was broken it would be repaired or replaced immediately. We cannot fault Andy as a landlord. I personally have loved living in the house due to the location, the house itself and Andy as the landlord.
Andy is a friendly, approachable landlord and really seems to care about the welfare of his tenants. Any problems were dealt with efficiently and professionally and an up to date list of contacts was always provided. Intrusions were kept to a minimum and our privacy was respected. I have no complaints whatsoever!
Living at 9 Lawrence Street for the last 2 years has been a genuinely great experience due in no small part to the reliable, friendly and fair nature of both Paula and Andy. Whenever my fellow housemates or I needed anything both Andy and Paula were quick to respond and the service which they provided us helped make 9 Lawrence Street feel like home. I would definitely recommend Prospect Property to any students wishing to find accommodation in York.
I lived at 1 brownlow street for 2 years and was really enjoyable. House itself is perfect location, and I’ve never seen a better student house. The landlord andy was fast to respond to any issues . University is stressful enough (especially during a pandemic) so living in a lovely home with an excellent landlord made the experience that bit better. Brownlow street 2019 -21
I lived at 1 Brownlow street for two years. Andy the landlord is trustworthy and reliable, so important for students. Amazing house compared to typical student houses, location amazing few minutes to YSJ campus and town centre. Andy is always just a text away for any repairs and maintenance and it’s organised with speed and attentiveness. This might seem normal but many student landlords do not respond at all let alone as quickly as Andy.I can’t fault the house, perfect for 6 people and never felt overcrowded. Quality of furnishings is good and Andy replaced anything I needed immediately and this kept the house in really good condition. I cannot recommend Better Student Homes and 1 Brownlow street enough! Andy has people working for him who will come around regularly if anything needs fixing, but heand his team only come around when asked and they give plenty of notice if they need to call round. In the last two years he has always made it feel like it is our home. He doesn’t mind us putting our own stamp on our rooms (within reason!). Posters for example were no problem. Overall with Andy and Prospect Property you will have an excellent house and no hassle. It all makes uni life so much easier!

Andy is an excellent landlord-if anything needed replacing it was done immediatley. It’s really useful to have the list of contact details if anything went wrong.
One of the best things about being with Prospect Property was that you were able to contact the landlord whenever a problem occurred. Having the contact numbers of plumbers/ electricians in the local area was also very helpful as it meant that when problems occured, which they inevitably do, you did not have to panic. You knew who to contact and they were often able to come out that day to have a look what the problem was. Andy is an approachable, friendly landlord and the fact that he cares about his properties is apparent in the conditions that they are kept in!
