My time at Hull Road was an enjoyable one and it was made all the better knowing that I had a reliable landlord who would quickly and efficiently solve any problems that occurred during my stay.
We first moved in to number 15 Heslington Road and then when it was going to be sold we wanted to stay with Andy as our landlord so we moved into number 51 for our final year! Over the past two years “Better Student Homes” has been speedy and friendly (i.e we reported our kettle broken and got a new one the same evening)! A reliable landlord that would quickly and efficiently sort out any problems.
Andy is a friendly, approachable landlord and really seems to care about the welfare of his tenants. Any problems were dealt with efficiently and professionally and an up to date list of contacts was always provided. Intrusions were kept to a minimum and our privacy was respected. I have no complaints whatsoever!
Brownlow Street was such a brilliant house. The quality alongside the location to YSJ was amazing, in fact everything was so amazing we stayed on another year! Another reason behind us staying was Andy and Paula. They were brilliant in looking after us, if anything was wrong with the house, or we needed some advice they were always there for us, we never went without for long! The house at Brownlow really became our home for 2 years, not just somewhere to rent, but somewhere to be happy and that was thanks to Andy, Paula and the team. All 6 of us agree that if we could move anywhere again it would be number 1 Brownlow Street.

You should advertise your best points- we were really pleased to have a gardening service included in our rent but didn’t know until they arrived!
I’ve been fortunate to live in a “Prospect Property” house for my final 2 years at York Uni (15 Heslington Road, 2003-2005). The standard of accommodation has been excellent and Andy (the landlord) compares very well with other landlords in the area that my friends have had! He is always helpful and manages to get people around to fix any problems (of which we have had few) very quickly and with minimum disruption. I would recommend Andy to anybody looking for a house in York.
Living at 9 Lawrence Street for the last 2 years has been a genuinely great experience due in no small part to the reliable, friendly and fair nature of both Paula and Andy. Whenever my fellow housemates or I needed anything both Andy and Paula were quick to respond and the service which they provided us helped make 9 Lawrence Street feel like home. I would definitely recommend Prospect Property to any students wishing to find accommodation in York.
I recommended Prospect property to my first and second year friends, one of them thanked me after he had signed a contract, adding in a tone of amazement ‘He actually likes students!’ Andy has always been friendly, accommodating and fair. Whenever we’ve had problems he’s been over to discuss them with us and has always resolved them for us satisfactorily. We have felt very lucky to have had such a good landlord throughout our time at uni, he deserves his good reputation.
